John Abraham and Bipasha Basu:

The coolest dude with the cutest smile fell for the hottest actress who was a former model and a ramp scorcher. They met each other on the sets of Jism and came to know each other even better after Madhoshi. John who has a crazy fascination for bikes was mesmerized with Bipasha's sensuous looks and intelligent mind.

Being from the same profession they understood each other's work as well as personal life which brought them ever closer to each other and love inevitably had to happen.

The couple has been going steady for the past seven years though rumours about their alleged affairs with other co-stars only seemed to have further strengthened their bond.

Shahid Kapoor & Kareena Kapoor:

In one word their love story can only be described as mushy and romantic. Bebo was four to five years elder to Shahid but that did not come in the way of their courtship.

Considered to be one of the most amiable and cute couples in Bollywood even post their apparent break-up, Shahid and Kareena fell for each other during the filming of Fida.

They have dated each other for four years and had a lot of time to know each other’s strengths and weaknesses through their films that they worked on together 36 China Town, Chupke Chupke and Milenge Milenge.

Their most recent film Jab We Met though has unlike the earlier ones gone on to be a hit at the turnstiles but their relationship though has not lasted.

Abhishek Bachchan & Aishwarya Rai:

One was a former Miss World while the other was the son of the biggest brand in Bollywood- Amitabh Bachchan. Abhishek and Aishwarya’s films- Dhai Akshar Prem Ke & Kuch Na Kaho- might have failed but their chemistry did not. Apparently Abhishek found Ash to be uncomplicated as a person and ‘always smiling’ which was what drew him initially towards her. It was friendship that turned out to be love for this couple.

They bonded earlier on the sets of Rajiv Rai’s Dhai Akshar Prem Ke but love did not make an entry into their respective lives until Dhoom 2 was made a couple of years later.

One of the most high profile relationships Abhishek and Aishwarya’s romance was the most talked about thing in town which ultimately led to their horoscopes being matched and a grand wedding ensued thereafter.

Ajay Devgan & Kajol:

One of the most successful love stories in recent times happened to blossom on the sets of Anees Bazmee’s Pyar To Hona Hi Tha. But Ajay Devgan and Kajol actually took an initial liking towards each other during the filming of Indra Kumar’s Ishq.

Complete opposites Ajay is on the quieter side and a more reserved person while Kajol is a person who is talkative and a prankster of sorts. And that is when cupid struck between the two.

Their chemistry has not yet worked onscreen with films like Dil Kya Kare and Raju Chacha which didn’t exactly set the box office on fire.

But maybe they are waiting fort he right script to come along or for good luck in the form of their daughter Nysa who can maybe change things around.

Amitabh Bachchan & Jaya Bahaduri:

Theirs was one of the rare love affairs where during the courtship Jaya Bahaduri was a bigger success than Amitabh Bachchan. Guddi the film where she is in awe of a superstar actor played by Dharmendra had given Jaya an instant hit and Amitabh was just making his foray into Hindi cinema.

The couple met on the sets of Ek Nazar in 1972 and sparks flew between the two and before they knew it they were in love. Reportedly their real life love story was depicted in the film Abhimaan directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee in 1973.

Both were at the peak of their careers – Jaya had won a Filmfare Award for her performance in Abhimaan and Amitabh with Zanjeer as the angry young man had tasted his first success – when both decided to plunge into marriage.

Till today they have been admired and respected as a couple.
